Guest Teaching Artists

Do you have an art or craft skill that you are an expert at and would like to share your knowledge with others? The Color House is always looking for new classes to add to our calendar. As a guest teaching artist, you would work as an independent contractor and teach an art class to a group of up to 12 people. Most classes last a little less than 2 hours.

Expectations for Guest Teaching Artists:

Adequately prepare for your class.

Coordinate with the studio regarding any material needs.

Arrive early to set up your class.

Guide the class through your project.

Stay within the class timing.

Friendly and fun personality.

Clean up all materials and mess from your class session.

 

Class minimum of 4 must be met in order to hold class.

Some examples of classes: acrylic painting, watercolor, handbuilding with clay, pottery wheel, craft projects, illustration, drawing. We are open to additional art forms too.
