During our walk-in hours, The Color House is open to the public for walk-in creative activities. Walk-ins are first come first serve or reservations can be made online. Creative sessions are self-led but we are always available for questions as you work on your piece. You select what you'd like to make and we will provide all of the materials you need to create a masterpiece. Prices range based on the project you select. Reservations are not required but are recommended and please note that we close 1 hour early on days there are no remaining customers. Plan to give yourself at least 1 hour to work on your project.

 

~ Paint Your Own Pottery ~  

Includes the use of brushes, glazes, and firing of your finished piece. Paint your own pottery pricing depends on the piece you select and includes your choice of colored glazes and firing. Unlimited painting time included in the price of the piece. Prices of the pieces range from $12 - $150 each. Most of our pieces are around $30.

~ Glass Painting ~ 

Includes the use of brushes, paints, and materials. Choose from a variety of glass options from wine glasses to tumblers, vases, bottles, and even glass panels for a stained glass style decoration. Create your own design or use of our samples. Glass is cured at home in your oven and is safe for use and washing after curing.

Glass Projects Cost:

Drinking Glasses = $20 each

Vases = $25 each

Bottles = $30 each

Glass Panels = $20

Add cork with fairy lights for inside bottles +$5

~ Canvas Painting ~

Choose from our collection of painting tutorials or create a masterpiece of your own. Includes use of in-studio creative materials including brushes, easel, in-studio craft materials and tools, paints, pencils, markers, pastels, glitter, and other materials.

~ Pottery Wheel Rental ~

Available to those who have taken a pottery wheel class at The Color House. This session includes up to 2 hours (including last 15 min for clean up), use of all tools, and up to 3lbs of clay. The cost is $40 per 2 hour session. Additional clay may be purchased at the current rates listed below. Firings and glazing are included. For ages 8+. Reservations are required for this activity.

~ Clay Handbuilding ~

Love working with clay? Create your own handbuilt masterpiece! Your session includes up to 1.5 lb of clay, access to all tools, and both firings. After your piece is bisque fired (about 3-4 weeks later), come back to glaze it—then we’ll fire it again to finish your work of art. Additional clay may be purchased at the current rate. Reservations are required for this activity. 

The cost is $30 per person.
