6 Week Intro to Clay

This 6 week clay series will take you through the various methods and techniques of creating ceramic art and working with clay. We will start with hand building and learn the pinch, coil, and slab methods of clay hand building during the first 3 weeks. The following 2 classes will introduce you to wheel throwing where you will create your own wheel thrown piece(s). The final week we will focus on glazes and glazing techniques. This is a well rounded course that gives you a taste of all things clay. Course fee includes all materials and tools required to create the projects. Clay, glazing, and firing of the pieces is also included in the fee.

All participants are given free open studio sessions during the 6 weeks of the course so open studio fees and wheel rental fees are waived. Cost of clay during open studio times is additional and…
